Wordsmithing

Internet writers are adding to our vocabulary faster and more effectively than those in any other medium. Our side, conservative, has the best thinkers in politics anyhow. There is no equivalent to the late William F. Buckley, Milton Friedman, Charles Krauthammer, George Will, Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, even Rush Limbaugh on the Left. Our internet forums are filled with a new generation formulating conservative philosophy and expressing it well.

Take a few phrases I’ve recently run across. They nail our president and Democrat issues succinctly and descriptively.

“AJ Strata” at thestratasphere calls Obama “President Mulligan.” How apt! “Mulligan should be quite used to this given how much golf he plays. But as I have been saying for weeks: this ain’t going to get right any time soon.” He was referring, of course, to Obamacare. O has been granted chance after chance to score with his ridiculous policies by the media and subsequently, the public. He gets by with it and gets by with blaming everybody else for his screw ups. How much longer can he get by with saying he didn’t know about this or that scandal? He can’t be that incompetent. He isn’t.

Sarah Palin likens O to a sleazy telemarketer. She called a recent speech in Boston his “ShamWow speech.” Palin said “President Obama flew in to Boston today to deliver another ShamWow-style infomercial for Obamacare, and it went about as well as his entourage’s snarled traffic debacle in Beantown.” Aren’t all his speeches like that? He’s intent on selling us a crappy product, making his profit and moving on to the next scam.

Radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock scored, too, with his commentary that the president should be called “Barack Hussein Obey-me.” Americans shouldn’t even question what Obam does. The press certainly doesn’t. Obama wants submission and he seems to get it.

Ace of Spades notes the impending “doc shock.” He headlined “Seven out of Ten Doctors Are Boycotting Obamacare in California, and Aren’t Participating in the System.” The blog continued:

An estimated seven out of every 10 physicians in deep-blue California are rebelling against the state’s Obamacare health insurance exchange and won’t participate, the head of the state’s largest medical association said…California offers one of the lowest government reimbursement rates in the country — 30 percent lower than federal Medicare payments. And reimbursement rates for some procedures are even lower.

That “doc shock” means California is facing a critical shortage in medical care. Look for that to spread like a virus everywhere.

What is the prognosis for the Democrat party when that happens? Hotair says illness in their body politic is developing. The blogger uses the term “Warren Democrats” to describe the malaise.

The “Warren Democrats” want a Democratic Party war…Leaders of the center-left “Third Way” think tank put out an op-ed this week that threatens to turn into a full-blown Democratic Party war. Jon Cowan and Jim Kessler warned their fellow Democrats that the hard-left style of new electeds like Elizabeth Warren and Bill de Blasio has no sustainable future. The lefty blogger community has turned on the centrist Democrats and is pushing elected Dems to disavow the sensible advice.

Joan Walsh – yeah, I know – writes that “Elizabeth Warren is a great tonic for the Democratic Party” and that the push to increase spending rather than responsibly reform Social Security is going to be a huge winner.

Remember Warren, now Senator from Massachusetts, first put forward the idea Obama later used when he said “you didn’t build that.” She had gone on a campaign rant about how corporate big wigs had made money using roads and facilities built by other Americans, implying that the rich abuse the poor and the system. Obama hijacked it and won a second term.

Note the reference by the liberal to sustainability. It is a term near and dear to them. Even Memphis has an office of Sustainability. What they do there, who knows? But sustainability just might be a core problem for Democrats in 2014. Can they keep this sham going? We’ll see.
