A lot is happening politically in the next few days.

First, Tennessee State GOP Chair Chris Devancy announced this morning that Governor Chris Christie will be the featured speaker for the 2014 Statesmen’s Dinner on Friday, May 30th, 2014, in Nashville. Tickets start at $250 and can be purchased here:

Then tomorrow, March 20, the Cordova Breakfast Club will have Shelby County Commissioners Terry Roland and James Harvey as their guest speakers. It begins at 7:30 a.m. and runs til 9 at the Danver’s restaurant, 1380 N. Germantown Parkway in Cordova.

Commission Chairman Harvey and Commissioner Roland will be addressing the vision for 2014 for Shelby county; voters concerns and issues; taxes and tax increases; school issues and annexation.

Also tomorrow the Lunch Hour Republican Club will have guest speaker Dr. George Flinn at their 11:45 meeting at Salsa. He will discuss Obamacare. Salsa is located adjacent to Oak Hall and Owen Brennan’s in the Regalia Shopping Center near the intersection of Poplar and Ridgeway. A Mexican buffet will be available at a cost of $13.36 (tax & gratuity included).

Tomorrow night the Campaign for Liberty will show the movie “Money for Nothing” at Jason’s deli at 3473 Poplar. It starts at 6:30 and is free. Anyone wanting to order dinner should arrive at 6.

On Monday the 24th, Campaign for Liberty will also have constitutional scholar and lawyer Publius Huldah as their guest speaker. She will argue why she is against a constitutional convention. This is also at Jason’s at 6:30.
