Media/Dems in Death Throes Over Memo

The Deep State and their media friends are in a life and death struggle with this Devin Nunes memo. They don’t want it out and are using every tool in their dirty playbook kit to stop it.

One of those is to strike at Trump for allegedly asking DOJ’s No. 2, Rod Rosenstein, if he “is on my team.”

Blogger Weasel Zippers smelled a rat. Here’s the take:

Feel free to go to the story, but I’m not citing more than a line of this anonymously-sourced nonsense. So I’m just going to point out the problems in the story.

First problem, Rod Rosenstein testified under oath that in December that “Nobody has asked me to take a loyalty pledge, other than the oath of office.” And the meeting alleged by CNN in which Trump is supposed to have made his remarks preceded that testimony as they themselves noted. “Rosenstein’s meeting with the President came as Rosenstein prepared to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.”

Second, does anyone think that Trump is that stupid, or if you do, that the minute he said it we wouldn’t have heard about it before now?

Third, anonymous source, again.

Fourth, one of the three reporters on the story is Laura Jarrett, Valerie Jarrett’s daughter.

Fifth, how is even what they alleged obstruction? Obstruction requires some form of a predicate act. Saying “Are you on my team” whatever that means isn’t that.

Pardon me, if I don’t believe this story.

Fake news.

And here’s another avenue they’re going down. They want you to believe that the DOJ and FBI are independent agencies. The media is pushing the idea that they therefore have the right to do whatever they want. They do not.

The DOJ and FBI fall under the executive branch. The Conservative Treehouse blog puts it well:

The U.S. corporate media has been working overtime trying to cloud this structural reality by attempting to create, out of loincloth, some non-existent separation of authority between the Office of the President and the U.S. Justice Department.

The Executive Branch did not create the DOJ or FBI, the Legislative Branch did. However, when the legislative branch created those entities – they placed them directly under the Executive Branch. President Trump is the Chief Executive and he can reform any agency under his executive authority. Period.

Don’t fall for the obfuscation.
