Class Act

Probate Court Clerk Paul Boyd shared this on facebook after his loss Tuesday:

First off, I want each of you to know how much I appreciate and am humbled by your support. The phone calls, texts, FB messages, Likes, Shares and prayers mean so much more than you can know.

I have lost this race for re-election (currently down appx. 4,000 votes) This hurts no doubt. But I have not been robbed of my joy or my gratitude. I am so Thankful for the voters allowing me to serve in this office for 8 years. I was completely at ease with the campaign we ran because of all of the wonderful people I was able to meet out on the trail. It is hard to describe the feeling, when people you don’t know come up to you and tell you all the things they have heard about you or researched on you and why they support you.

So while there will be times when I will want to have a pity party about what I have lost, know that is not who I desire to be. I praise my God and Savior for all His blessings. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed is the name of the Lord. All I need is King Jesus, but how much more wonderful when He embraces you with His hands and arms, God’s people.

So again Thank You and the many more who might not see this post, but have tremendously impacted my life.
