Vogue editor and fashion priestess Anna Wintour handles the annual gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s reportedly not a fun event, but it is a must for any celebrity who can worm his/her way into it. Supposedly it benefits the Museum, but many have criticized that it brings in very little for it.
This year’s participants were asked to incorporate a Catholic theme into their clothes. You knew that would be pro religion, didn’t you? Snark off. It’s hard to imagine P. Diddy and others as wearing a tribute to the Catholic faith, but they did.
Although New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan gave it a thumbs up, you be the judge of whether these costumes border on the sacrilegious.
