Shepard Smith appeared to hate his Fox News audience. His snide comments and condescension won’t be missed by most of us.
Heck, most Fox News viewers opted out when he came on the channel.
I talked with him briefly at a Memphis rally for Senator to be Corker (I know, but he was better than Harold Ford Jr.). He promised to get his picture taken with me, but never did. That was OK, in fact I’m glad he didn’t. But that was the kind of self centered guy he is.
No one in the Fox audience will be crying over his loss.
Especially Tucker Carlson, who got in a spat with him, if you recall. Smith criticized him, saying, “Last night on this network, during primetime opinion programming, a partisan guest who supports President Trump was asked about Judge Napolitano’s legal assessment, and when he was asked, he said, unchallenged, Judge Napolitano is a fool. Attacking our colleague who’s here to offer legal assessments on our air in our work home is repugnant,” Smith said. He then listed people who agreed with Napolitano.
The next night Carlson brought on Joe DiGenova who destroyed Napolitano and criticized Smith. It is rumored Fox told Smith to knock it off.
We all remember Smith’s over the top Katrina coverage. It was a wall to wall Bush bash.
Now if only Chris Wallace would go, then Neil Cavuto and Juan Williams, Donna Brazile, Leland Vitter, Arthel Neville, Bret Baier, Chris Hahn…
A person can dream, can’t he/she/xe?
