Lining Up Advisors

Three of the GOP presidential hopefuls have announced their experts to help with foreign policy. Some are George W. Bush choices.

Perry has as his policy advisors four from the Bush era: Doug Feith from Defense; John Bolton, former U.S. UN ambassador; Zalmay Khalilzad, U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan; and Victoria Coates, former research assistant to Donald Rumsfeld.

Team Cain has talked with Nixon Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and retired Navy Commander J.D. Gordon.

Romney tapped Cofer Black, formerly of the CIA; Eliot Cohen from Johns Hopkins; and John Lehman, Ronald Reagan’s Navy Secretary.
