Obama’s constant nodding of his head has a paternalistic air about it that is offensive. Then, he goes on to deflect any responsibility he has on the current state of affairs with this whopper: “What an incredible mess had been made as I was coming into office and we’ve been spending the last three years cleaning it up.”

Never miss an opportunity to bash Bush, eh? Now he’s responsible for his two terms, plus yours.Wasn’t that “mess that had been made” because of a Democrat House and Senate and their policies? And weren’t you in the Senate and didn’t do anything to stop them? Man up, President Bobblehead. Note the purple tie; it’s no coincidence that the color of the SEIU was chosen for this interview.

Obama goes on to push his payroll tax holiday extension. He says it will mean a $1,000 tax increase for 160 million people. Suddenly, he’s on the side of lower taxes? Doesn’t that undermine his whole tax philosophy?

Then, he says “let’s give more summer jobs” to kids in poor areas. That makes us all subservient to government largesse. Rather, the summer jobs should come from the private sector. Perhaps lowering the minimum wage requirement would open those doors.

So he says the economy is strengthening. Figures tell a different story; that the average U.S. family has lost $21,000 in the last six months because of lowered property values and a lower stock market.

I’m not sure I would want our schools to be like Booker T. Washington, either. If that’s the high standard, perhaps we should reevaluate where our tax money usage.
