Justin Joy, Shelby GOP Chairman, had good news to report on the Gala:
Last Friday, February the 10th, the Shelby County GOP held its 37th Annual Lincoln Day Gala. The time and preparation that went into the event was monumental. However, the work more than paid off as we set new records of fundraising totals. Thank you to all of those who helped make the night a huge success by attending the event, contributing or bidding on an auction item, or by volunteering your time. John and Sue Williams, our auction chairs, led one of the best auctions we have ever had setting a record of over 300 items as well as a record on how much money was raised through the auction. I’d also like to thank Betty Rome and this year’s Lincoln Day Chairman, Paula Sedgwick, for their outstanding organization and leadership through this process. Without them, this event could not have happened. Again, thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Lincoln Day a success.
