Yesterday it was noted that the unemployment numbers for March would not be announced on the first Friday of the month as usual.
Here’s the Bureau of Labor Statistics reasoning as explained on CNBC. The B(L)S says their data is announced on the third Friday following the conclusion of the reference week when it conducts the surveys. The reference week must include the 12th of each month.
Got that? Me neither.
