Shelby GOP Has New Director

Justin Joy, Shelby GOP chairman writes:

“I’m very pleased to announce that Peggy Larkin will be the new Executive Director of the Republican Party of Shelby County. Peggy, who is also our first vice chairman, has done a great job over the past year overseeing headquarters operations and has helped with getting many other things accomplished. With the August county elections just three months away, Peggy will be able to jump right in and get to work as our new Executive Director.

Peggy is a past president of Subsidium, Inc., a volunteer organization which supports the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf and has previously served as chairman of the board for the school. She has also served on the board of the Memphis Pink Palace Museum, is a LeBonheur Club Member, and is a past president and current treasurer of the Memphis & Shelby County Medical Alliance which supports various community needs in the City of Memphis. Peggy is also a past president of the Republican Women of Purpose. In addition to her years of leadership and volunteering for the Republican Party and local candidates, Peggy has also worked as an office manager, co-owner of a computer software company, and has been responsible for accounting and fundraising for St. Louis Catholic Church. Her educational background includes accounting, political science and real estate.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Cory Higdon, our outgoing executive director, for his work over the past several months. We wish Cory all the best as he pursues his interest in entering the ministry.”

Good luck to Peggy! She will need all our help this year.
