Every day brings a new outrage, insult or blooper from the Obama administration. Does the mainstream media report them? No.
They certainly did with George W. Bush. They twisted, lied and took out of context everything he said. They pursued him like the Furies, reported every verbal gaffe and magnified it outlandishly. They even dubbed them Bushisms and some cretin wrote a book about them.
Obama gets a pass. 57 states? Glossed over. Navy corpse-man? Only got a mention from conservative media. Twenty years sitting in Rev. Wright’s church, listening to his anti American rants? No big deal.
Yesterday our brilliant Commander in Chief managed to insult one of our allies, the Poles. According to the AP:
The White House said President Barack Obama misspoke on Tuesday when he referred to a “Polish death camp” while honoring a Polish war hero.
The president’s remark had drawn immediate complaints from Poles who said Obama should have called it a “German death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland,” to distinguish the perpetrators from the location. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski called it a matter of “ignorance and incompetence.”
Obama made the comment while awarding the Medal of Freedom to Jan Karski, a resistance fighter against the Nazi occupation of Poland during World War II. Karski died in 2000.
Misspoke or intentially insulted? That’s the question you have to ask when he makes these gaffes. They seem to occur particularly when he’s addressing our European allies.
