Are you familiar with Vine?
I was not. It’s a spinoff of Twitter. It’s basically a six second video; kind of a fetal YouTube. Here’s how Twitter describes it:
“Vine: a mobile service that lets you capture and share short looping videos. Like Tweets, the brevity of videos on Vine (6 seconds or less) inspires creativity. Now that you can easily capture motion and sound, we look forward to seeing what you create.
You can read more about the app on the Vine blog. Vine is currently available on the iPhone and iPod touch. You can download it for free from the App Store.”
Now the National Republican Congressional Committee has for once decided to get with new technology. They have produced a six second Vine ad on Elizabeth Colbert (as in Steven) Busch and her support of union jobs in right to work state South Carolina. Jim Geraghty of National Review says “This is the first time a political organization has launched an actual ad on Vine to attack an opponent. Vine ads can easily be shared and are a new frontier of political media.”

OK Shelby GOP, how about doing some of these? With Steve Cohen there is ample material. But our candidates could also use it to show their abilities.
