Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she will have been in office eight years by the next election and that is long enough for a president and anyone else. She won’t run in 2014 which leaves a void in that swing Minnesota district.
Of late, Bachmann has had some queries about ethical financial behavior. Of course, Democrats were doing the charging. Bachmann has long been a favorite target of theirs. She may have been able to survive the election, but her races have been tight and she may feel she doesn’t want to go through all the accusations and fighting.
Bachmann has always been one to stand up to liberals. Her conduct has always seemed correct. We need her in the House, so it is a shame she’s going.
Perhaps she will attempt a political comeback in the future.
