I called the Tennessee Attorney General’s office (615-741-3491). It rang and rang but someone – a human being – did pick up the phone and talk to me.
I asked if AG Slattery had any plans to join the Texas lawsuit and was told he didn’t have any information to give me. I then asked if the AG was working on it. He would not commit except to say that if something were to happen it would appear on the TNGov website (https://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral.html).
He did, however, take my comment asking them to do the lawsuit and he had my information from my phone call.
In other words, it is worthwhile calling and putting in your opinion.
This morning Missouri joined the other eight states.
Surely Tennessee can, too.
