Blackburn Gets Convention Role

Republican Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, also known as former ShelbyGOP executive director Don Johnson’s boss, was named to serve at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

The press release says:

Today RNC Chairman Reince Priebus announced the leadership of the 2012 Republican National Convention Committee on Resolutions, commonly known as the Platform Committee.

Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia will serve as Chairman. Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota and Representative Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee will serve as Co-Chairmen.

“Governor McDonnell, Senator Hoeven, and Congresswoman Blackburn are outstanding leaders in the Republican Party, and I am proud that they will lead us in writing our 2012 Platform,” said Chairman Priebus.
